Don McAulay Jr. & Sr. started building rustic furniture in 1992. They decided to make the transition from there traditional woodworking to using a combination of raw, milled, and natural materials to create unique furnishings. Gathering inspiration from living in the hills of western Massachusetts and the Green Mountains of Vermont. They are artists inspired by nature. Over the past 15 years the McAulay's have completed projects for such organizations as The Nature Conservancy, Massachusetts Fish & Wildlife Services, The Weber Group, Eastern Mountain Sports, Indiana State Parks, Church Landing, The Inns At Mill Falls, Slifer Designs, North Quabbin Woods, The Learning Channel (While You Were Out), and Bugaboo Creek Restaurants. They are available for onsite consultation where they encourage personal ideas to fit the needs for your project. As well as being furniture builders, both are drummers and percussionists. Don Jr. is a professional musician performing and recording with several bands and solo artists such as, Spouse, Ware River Club, Andrew Jones & Spirit House,The Humminfield, and Haunt. Don has also had the opportunity to share the stage and tour with many great bands such as The Jayhawks, NRBQ, The Pixies, TV on the Radio, and Emmy Lou Harris.
